1967 Rolex Daytona Paul Newman 6241 | Untouched and in Mint Condition
This watch needs no words, but I will write a couple things about it. In my opinion it is one of the most untouched and mint condition Paul Newmans out there. My favorite aspect other than the condition are the little details it still retains that you basically never see on a watch of this caliber. There is still dirt under the bezel present from the original owner, the original crytstal is still scratched up likely never buffed and it still has the original springbars that it came with when new! The brightness of this dial is something like I have never seen, the red is so bright it just pops in your face, the white surface couldn't be better and provides excellent contrast. All of the lume plots are 100% perfect with no degradation whatsoever. The bezel has no cracks or chips and is very mint. It comes with the original 6635 bracelet dated 1967 with the elusive 71 endlinks. The collector I acquired the watch from a collector who sourced it from the original owner several years ago. He said he wore it less than five times and it lived in the bank safe during his entire tenure. The serial range is 1,7xx,xxx.
