1967 Rolex Double Red Sea-Dweller | Super Tropical Dial | Thin Case MK2 with Service Papers – Sold
The dial of mark 2 double red sea-dwellers is commonly known to go tropical from a paint defect this particular dial possesses. Of those that go tropical they usually change to a nice dark brown, but in rare instances the dial really makes a major transformation and turns almost caramel brown like this DRSD has done. This is without a doubt the most beautiful tropical DRSD dial I’ve ever seen, in any light even indoors it is super brown. This watch was produced in the last batch of thin case double reds with a 2,9xx,xxx serial and a IV/67 caseback. The case was lightly detailed and the lugs are super thick. It comes with a later mint condition 93150 bracelet and two service records from Rolex USA.
