1979 Rolex 6263 Floating Big Red Daytona | Silver Grene Dial | Excellent Condition
This is a very gorgeous watch, in my opinion the silver (and black dial) 6263 big red Daytonas represent the ultimate all around vintage Rolex. They are oyster cases so they’re waterproof, but still have the vintage dial layout, plastic bezel and the massive red Daytona print that pretty much every watch person in the world loves. The size is right, everything is just right with a big red and it’s no surprise that they have become even more popular in the last few years. The present example is known as a cream or grene dial and the surface has a more cream colored finish similar to the first series white dial double swiss 6239 dials. It is quite rare and I’ve only ever had one other example like this. The dial is mint with no scratches or chips, it also has a more warm look and pops more than a standard silver dial when the sun hits it. The original mk2 bezel is super black and crisp, two minor hairlines on the left side of it. The original 78350/571 bracelet is in good condition with a sharp clasp. All in all, this watch is one of my favorites and you can’t go wrong with a silver dial 6263 big red.
